TEMORA has added a third US recruit to their list just days out from the start of the Farrer League season.

The Kangaroos announced the signing of American running backBilly Mallard, who isthe quickest and biggest of the US group.

Mallard had originally joined Victorian Football League club Sandringham but has decided to follow Carl Winston and Torrey Harknessto Temora.

Mallard, who was expected to have limited opportunities at Sandringham, will arive in Temora on Friday.

Temora president Darryl Harpleywas thrilled to have another supreme American athlete join the club.

“The boys are pretty excited and so are we,” Harpley said.

“To have all three here, to all play together is really good.”

Mallard, 26, hails from DixieState University and stands at180 centimetres tall and 91 kilograms.

American Footy Star described him as ‘quite simply one of the most explosive, and athletic football players imaginable’.

“He’s a great friend of ours, we all trained at LA…and went through the program together,” Winson said.

“He’s an amazing athlete, really big and strong, really fast.

“He’s probably the fastest out of all of us.

“He’s a great athlete.”

Temora will host East Wagga-Kooringal in a grand final rematch on Saturday at Nixon Park, where the Kangaroos will unfurl their third straight premiership flag.

New Temora coach Christin Macricould not guarantee all three will play seniors in the season opener.

“It’s unlikely all three will play seniors but we haven’t made a final decision at this stage,” Macri said.

“It’s exciting, I’m really looking forward to it.

“We’ve got nothing to lose and plenty to gain.”
