Gisborne to throw open gates

GISBORNE will throw open its gates on Saturday, with free entry for its round two Bendigo Football League clash against Maryborough at Gardiner Reserve.

“We’re doing it as a goodwill gesture to our members and supporters and anyone else in the town who wants to come along, as well as for the Maryborough people who want to come to the game,” Gisborne coach Rod Sharp said on Thursday.

“There will be no-one on the gate on Saturday, so hopefully, plenty of people come along for a look.”

The game will be a battle between two sides who are coming off heavy round one losses.
