Police appeal for assistance following firearm theft

Rural investigators from Orana Local Area Command are appealing for public assistance following the theft of three firearms from a house in Rawsonville.

Between 10.15pm on Tuesday and 5.30am on Wednesday, a break and enter occurred at a house on Rawsonville Bridge Road, when the occupants were asleep.

Property stolen included three firearms consisting of an Akkar shotgun, Winchester rifle and a Ruger rifle.

Police from Orana Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene with specialist forensic officers also in attendance.

Detectives from the Orana Rural Crime Squad have begun investigations into the incident.
